Job Description

Ashfield Healthcare are proud to be working with Danone to recruit A Commercial Account Manager to negotiate and implement strategic pricing agreements, dispensing deals across primary/secondary care and to protect/grow the Early Life Nutrition (ELN) portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and implement commercial pricing agreements across our portfolio in primary and secondary care for pre-defined accounts
  • Work collaboratively with existing healthcare sales channels to map out key stakeholders to target as part of a focussed commercial account plan
  • Coaching/support of existing healthcare sales channels in commercial account management
  • Monitor performance against commercial business plan and provide regular business reviews to the Healthcare Development Lead
  • Work closely with the Healthcare Development Lead and Pharmacy Sales Channel to ensure discounting mechanism is optimised and fully functional in England and devolved nations
  • Review activities & behaviours to continuously improve performance & share best practices with cross functional teams
  • Collect & evaluate customer profiling/targeting intelligence
  • Contribute to business intelligence
  • Actively participate in multi-functional project teams across ELN to drive business strategy in all customer accounts & deliver against agreed customer expectations.
  • To fully understand the locality funding flows, decision making process in all target CCG’s and across primary and secondary care and ensure a positive outcome for all products
  • Monitor and report on commercial competitor activity and strategies
  • Manage commercial customers & commercial customer accounts
  • Raise the profile of Nutricia ELN amongst payors and key opinion leaders within the NHS
  • Negotiate and more importantly implement commercial pricing agreements with payers across primary/secondary care, by working in collaboration with our primary care/secondary care/HDM teams.
  • To implement the commercial strategy regionally and define how best to action and position it in the community and hospital setting.
  • To identify and develop relationships with key payers across primary/secondary care, which will create a favourable environment for commercial deals to be implemented for our ELN paediatric portfolio of products.

Essential Skills

  • Education: Degree qualification or similar
  • Proven history of strong business performance ideally in a healthcare or pharmaceutical environment
  • Direct or indirect leadership experience or with sales teams, service projects and or commissioning customers, ideally within NHS/Market Access/ Service Development desirable
  • Proven experience of working at payer/CCG level and ideally existing network and relationships with payer/CCG personnel
  • Paediatric knowledge and Dietetic skills preferable but not essential
  • Experience of field based working, dealing with Head Office cross functional departments
  • Experience of negotiating commercial pricing deals and dispensing doctor deals within the healthcare arena essential
