Job Description

Ashfield Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for a Business Manager to join our established team at our Multichannel Contact Centre in the heart of Ashby de la Zouch. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in a fast passed organisation where no two days are the same. They will lead and motivate individual members of contact centre team(s) ensuring an effective and quality delivery of contractual metrics and key performance indicators as agreed with individual clients.

The job holder should have management experience, either within the Pharmaceutical industry or within a commercial contact centre setting and be able to demonstrate their ability to operate effectively at a senior level and show strong commercial awareness whilst liaising effectively with all levels of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily 1st Line management of contact centre teams. To effectively manage, motivate and lead direct report performance and development.
  • Welcoming and integrating new employees into the Ashfield Way.
  • Consistently demonstrate our values and as a leader of the company.
  • To deliver the company’s employee engagement strategy.
  • To implement a talent management strategy with associated succession plans.
  • Clearly and consistently communicate business goals, targets and KPIs to direct reports.
  • Analysing performance data and forming winning strategies to deliver client KPIs.
  • Recruitment of new direct reports and supporting other business managers’ recruitment where appropriate to ensure consistency across teams.
  • To ensure the highest level of service and productivity is consistently delivered by your direct reports.
  • Frequent and regular employee coaching and performance monitoring with each direct report.
  • To identify, in conjunction with the Training Department and Project manager training and development needs of direct reports to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Effectively implement HR policies and processes across the team, including probationary and mid-year reviews, appraisals and performance management where appropriate.
  • To ensure that company and group, policies and standard operating procedures, are adhered to within your area of responsibility.
  • To ensure an ethical and compliant working environment

Essential Skills

  • Must be adaptable, numerate, demonstrate problem solving and analytical thinking  and quick to learn with the desire to succeed
  • Ability to work on own initiative and have experience of coordinating and managing projects involving multiple key stakeholders.
  • Pharmaceutical sales/ Contact centre management experience, gained over a minimum of two years (ideally)
  • Excellent team working skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to relocate if currently based outside of area local to head office (within 45 minutes)
  • Strong planning and organisation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop customer and delegate relationships
  • A desire to work as part of a lively team, contributing to all aspects of effective working.
