The Project Manager (Clinical) role is an exciting mix of people and business management.  You will be working closely with a range of Ashfield clients to build partnerships and ensure they receive exceptional service. 

You will be required to deliver performance excellence in Ashfield’s Clinical field-based and contact centre activities in line with the business objectives and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver performance excellence in Ashfield’s Clinical field-based and contact centre activities in line with the business objectives and client requirements.
  • Management of our employees working on behalf of those clients.
  • Manage a wide-ranging and varied workload, prioritise tasks and make good business decisions quickly. 
  • Ensure effective delivery of contractual metrics and such key performance indicators as agreed with individual clients.
  • Build strong working relationships with all key stakeholders within assigned client accounts, hold regular client review meetings.
  • Establish systems to monitor project implementation against key performance indicators; to robustly monitor performance of team and to initiate corrective action as required.
  • Work with the Business Development Team to effectively implement client contracts and ensure that contract details are clearly defined and communicated.
  • Take overall accountability for the accuracy of all operational and financial processes within assigned accounts.
  • Manage assigned accounts in line with agreed budgets.
  • Liaise with Recruitment Department to recruit and select appropriate team members.
  • Identify, in conjunction with Training Department team, training and development needs and to implement talent management strategy and succession plans.
  • Effectively manage human resource issues relating to teams employment contract e.g. disciplinary.
  • Ensure all business operations comply with company standards and the relevant codes governing each particular client account (e.g. ABPI or NMC), and to contribute to the monitoring of compliance with such codes across the business.
  • Ensure performance management processes are fully implemented across team, including probationary reviews and performance appraisal.

Essential Skills

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of clinical services delivered in partnership with the NHS and the Pharmaceutical industry.
  • A minimum of 3 years 1st/2nd line management experience in a sales or commercial nursing environment.
  • An ability to operate effectively at a senior level within a rapidly expanding organisation.
