Job Description

Ashfield are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of Penlan Healthcare (Penlan) for a Primary Care Representative working in the Northern Ireland region. Penlan is a private pharmaceutical company specialising in the development and marketing of products that meet the needs of Patients, Healthcare Professionals and Healthcare Systems.

Penlan products match the quality and design of innovative brands but at a price that will generate reduced spend to the NHS through lower acquisition costs. Penlan products are supplied in the most widely used presentations and forms as the original brands so that healthcare professionals and patients will see only a change in brand name and cost.

Penlan are looking for a talented, highly motivated sales professional who will be accountable for driving the dermatology portfolio business in Somerset and the surrounding area.   The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and exciting team, and ideally will live in or around Somerset but be able to support accounts within the South West. 

Key Responsibilities

  • To increase revenues and market share of Penlan’s dermatology portfolio through achievement of agreed sales targets.
  • To drive medication reviews/new business at a Practice level based on the locality needs and across the NHS utilising the appropriate influencers (eg GPs, Nurses, CCGs, PCOs, and retail pharmacists).
  • To successfully launch and grow key Penlan dermatology products.
  • To drive awareness of Penlan Portfolio by adhering to agreed activity plan in regards to coverage and frequency within key target accounts.
  • To influence target customers with a view to developing long term relationships.
  • Ensure all administration from key account plans to monthly expenses is completed to the required standard and within agreed deadlines.
  • Adhere to all regulations contained in the ABPI Code of Practice and fully comply with company policies and procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Ideally minimum of 1 year experience in Pharmaceutical sales role or similar.
  • Computer skills, MS Office.
  • Presentation skills with modern presentation media.
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent preferred.
