Ashfield is currently recruiting for a Healthcare Development Manager on behalf of our client to launch a new blood glucose monitoring system in the UK. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify solutions for customers, deliver value propositions and facilitate change that benefits both patients and the business
  • Achieving SvT, increase in market share and KPI’s
  • Engaging with key NHS customers, including CCGs and KOL’s to become ‘partner of choice’ – this will include projects, joint working initiatives and utilising value propositions /health economic data to support these processes 
  • Maintain high level of clinical knowledge maintained by self-learning, e-learning and achieving pass rate in all assessments
  • Routine and consistent planning and feedback of business issues on a monthly basis, formulating specific key action plans
  • Deliver structured, consistent sales calls to target customers. Ensure that key product and marketing messages are reinforced at every call using appropriate current materials.
  • Manage administrative functions in compliance with standard deadlines, to include call reporting, customer orders, monthly reporting, planning, and expenses
  • Develop and sustain effective cross-team communication and working relationships with colleagues
  • Ensure that all relevant Company policies and procedures are understood and adhered to.
  • Active participation in own personal development, maintaining high clinical knowledge levels; also through ownership of the Individual Development Plan

Essential Skills

  • Experience of working in a pharmaceutical or healthcare industry as an accomplished medical sales professional
  • Experience in a HPM/HDM role, however candidates in Key Account Management role with in-depth payor exposure may also be considered
  • Excellent selling, negotiation and networking skills
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of the tendering, contracts and procurement process (If from a healthcare background)
  • Sound understanding of UK BGM market; and demonstrates awareness of NHS policies, structures and processes relevant to area
  • Analytical thinker; demonstrates evidence of both numerical and verbal critical reasoning
  • Solutions focused and effective problem solving skills
  • High standard of oral and written communication, including well developed presentation skills
