Job Description

Ashfield Healthcare are excited to be working with a specialist Ophthalmology company to recruit a Headcount Healthcare Development Manager to cover the South of England. This pharmaceutical company is one of the oldest ophthalmic pharmaceutical companies and has a long tradition of patient-centred care.

They are looking for a candidate to achieve the Payer marketing/business objectives for prioritised brands by meeting access and implementation targets by working with the NHS to deliver patient centered healthcare solutions to meet the needs of their customers in improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure agreed market access objectives for prioritised brands are locally delivered
  • Identify the opportunity for each prioritised brand in each account and work with the local Key Account Managers
  • Identification of key cross functional customers and co-ordination of key customer action plans
  • Serve as primary point of contact for Payer Accounts
  • Use business information to identify variance in local account performance
  • Develop and take ownership for key relationships for the company
  • Identify and develop current or future payer KOLs
  • Maintain a sound working knowledge of brand payer value propositions
  • Use account planning tools to gain deeper insight into customer needs and uses insight into these needs to shorten the customer’s decision cycle and create “win-win” situations

Essential Skills

  • Display deep understanding of NHS performance metrics, NHS datasets, funding flows, NHS systems and national policies that influence customer decision-makers.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively prioritize accounts, segment payers and systematically plan and capture interactions with payer customers
  • Strong analytical and business planning skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Working collaboratively with local Key account team in a matrix environment to achieve the business objectives for prioritised brands
