Job Description

Ashfield is currently recruiting for a Headcount “Regional Business Manager” covering the South East and Northern Ireland. The Regional Business Manager will be accountable to ensure the delivery of national and regional targets. Alongside the management, development and cross functional working of a regional team who cover primary and secondary care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fully accountable for the regional sales targets and spend budgets.
  • To construct, present and agree with the National Sales Manager the financial objectives, promotional strategy and tactics for the Region as part of the business planning process.
  • To monitor and review the regional business plan, proactively making adjustments in line with insights taken from robust data analysis to ensure that business goals are achieved.
  • Coach and support the regional team via field visits, business reviews and performance appraisals in order to drive tangible progress with personal development plans and overall performance.
  • To maintain a detailed knowledge of national policy objectives/drivers and apply this to identify opportunities for growing the business at a Regional level.

Essential Skills

  • Educated to degree level in a business or science subject
  • Good IT skills
  • ABPI qualified
  • 5 years + successful, proven track record of pharmaceutical industry sales experience, preferably with wider experience in market access, key account management, sales training, sales management, KOL/advocacy development, marketing or commercial roles.
  • Experience in managing a P&L
  • Sound understanding of UK pharmaceutical industry and demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of NHS policies, structures, funding streams and processes relevant to promoted products
  • Demonstrates well developed business and commercial acumen
Proactive and accountable with a clear drive for completion and delivery
