Job Description

Ashfield are delighted to be recruiting Account Managers for our client Benecol. Benecol are the number one cholesterol-lowering brand. Benecol foods were launched in the UK and Ireland in 1999, and now the range includes spreads, yogurts and mini drinks. Today, Benecol foods range of products are preferred and trusted by millions of people around the world for their delicious, convenient and proven way to lower cholesterol and in the UK, Benecol is the number one cholesterol-lowering food brand, continuing to innovate and bring new products to market every year. We are looking for Account Managers to support the growth of this established brand and to raise awareness of the benefits that Benecol can deliver to patients struggling with high cholesterol.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement agreed territory Business Plans
  • Design and implement a business territory plan in line with Benecol objectives
  • Achieve positive endorsement for Benecol product range through influence of HCPs
  • Upskill? HCPs to enable them to educate patients on health benefits of plant stanol esters and Benecol products to lower cholesterol
  • Engage HCPs via specific websites and targeted to attend various events, use of literature and sampling leading to Benecol being a Brand recommended Most Often (BRMO) by HCPs to their patients with elevated cholesterol
  • Dealing swiftly, effectively and efficiently with any customer issues/complaints
  • Identify and profile Key Opinion Leaders, Key Influencers, and devise specific action plans for their management within an agreed framework
  • Demonstrates in-depth clinical and product knowledge within key indication areas
  • Develop and promote local product advocates

Essential Skills

  • Must be a health care professional – ie a dietitian, GP, nurse or pharmacist ,
  • Experience working in sales
  • A good understanding of the NHS environment
  • Must live on patch and be prepared for frequent travel within region and to Head office/events as required (dates will be told in advance)
  • Maturity, self-confident and high level of personal drive
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changes within NHS and corporate environment
  • Highly organised with strong business planning skills and attention to detail
  • Strong customer relationship building skills
  • Competent analytical, numerical and IT skills
  • Demonstration of strong selling (scientific and commercial), influencing and negotiation skills
  • Team player; equally focused on achieving national targets as well as regional/brand targets.

A current driving license is essential for the role
