Job Description

Ashfield Healthcare are proud to be supporting one of the world’s fastest growing brands within the veterinary market in their search for a new Diets Sales Manager to join their well-established team. The role will be to sell their Nutritional rage to Veterinary practices within the London, Essex and Kent area.

This role would appeal to recent graduates with backgrounds in Science or Veterinary Studies, with a genuine passion and interest in animal care and health. Similarly, experienced Animal Health Representatives seeking a new challenge and the opportunity to diversify their current skill-sets should also be motivated to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell the range of DVP Nutritional range to Veterinary practices within the defined sales territory.
  • Achieve territory sales objectives and prices and promotional offers in accordance with the business plans for the territory.
  • Become conversant and competent in the delivery of the SUCCEED selling skills model, upholding the Dechra values at all times.
  • Manage business appointments and travel to maximise productivity in line with defined KPI’s.
  • Deliver campaign and service messages and follow up on all customer requirements
  • Liaise closely with Companion Animal / Equine / Farm Animal Sales teams to ensure the full Dechra offering is represented and understood by our customers.
  • Maintain and develop customers through appropriate business solutions, respecting ethical sales methods.
  • Using company territory management and planning model (SUCCEED) to effectively cover the territory offering a high quality and bespoke service to all targeted customers as detailed in the business plan.

Essential Skills

  • Candidates should be educated to degree level, ideally within Science or Veterinary Studies
  • Experience within Animal Health Sales is preferable, but not essential
  • Successful applicants must be results orientated, and able to demonstrate a high level of selling skills and customer focus
  • Work experience within a fast-paced, target driven environment is highly beneficial
  • A thorough knowledge of the customer base and animal health industry would prove invaluable
  • All candidates should have a genuine interest and passion for animal care and wellbeing
  • NOAH Certificate of Animal Health is advantageous but not essential
