Ashfield Healthcare are proud to be supporting Advancis Medical in an upcoming team expansion project. Due to rapid growth, and the launch of innovative business areas, we have an opportunity for a Group Marketing Manager to join this reputable, distinguished firm. Based in the UK, Advancis Medical is a medical device company building an international reputation for developing, manufacturing and marketing a range of advanced wound care products. Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of UK Sales & Marketing, the Group Marketing Manager will be accountable for leading and supporting the strategic development and implementation of the UK marketing plans for the Advancis brand portfolio, including Medical, Surgical & Veterinary franchises.

In conjunction the role will lead the group product development function and support Advancis distributors across multiple countries.

The role will require excellent communication and collaboration with the UK Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, Sales Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and the Commercial teams, in addition to our range of International Distributors.

This high calibre individual will be expected make a significant contribution to the financial growth and commercial success of Advancis Medical in line with the UK Sales & Marketing strategy, whilst simultaneously being an ambassador for the organisation with key stakeholders and preparing the environment for new product launches.

  • Responsible for leading the production and implementation of robust product specific marketing plans in line with the Advancis business planning process, which deliver sales objectives, within the defined budget.
  • Line management responsibility for wider brand management and marketing team.

  • Be point of contact, developing strong relationships, with international distributors involved with the distribution of Advancis products.
  • To develop robust tactical plans in conjunction with relevant internal stakeholders, including sales management, and ensure their effective implementation.
  • To develop a clinical development plan including all aspects of Real World Data providing meaningful outcomes data which drive change at NHS policy and procurement level.
  • Act as a product and wound care market specialist to build awareness, understanding and confidence in the product both internally and externally.
  • Ensuring effective monitoring of all plans against key metrics and adjust the implementation plan as required.
  • Provide regular reports on the implementation of marketing plans for the business.
  • To develop, source and ensure fulfilment of appropriate branding/support materials within agreed timelines and budgetary parameters.
  • Provide regular communication, education and training to the sales force and cross functional team on the marketing strategy, brand plan and product knowledge.
  • Responsibility for product associated expenditure and budget management to include the delivery of detailed forecast and supportive budget plans, with strong rationale supporting the proposals.
  • Effectively and efficiently network across all departments e.g. Sales, Regulatory, Quality, Sales Operations and Senior Management.
  • To establish robust systems for the development of Key Opinion Leaders within the relevant therapeutic areas, and to have monitors in place to review activities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure effective communication of messages to/from all customers to inform development of marketing plans.
  • To produce robust business cases and budget impact models for use by the Sales Team to drive the uptake of Advancis brands.
  • To ensure all marketing activity is in compliance with company standards and the ABHI Code of Practice.
  • Lead and manage external agencies to develop effective marketing materials and projects.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the UK wound care market landscape and have a deep understanding of the UK Healthcare Policy area including NHSE, NHS Scotland, NHS Wales and NHS NI Strategic Plans.

Essential Skills

  • A formal Marketing Qualification (e.g. Degree, CIM,)
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel, Word & Power-Point
  • Willingness to travel and stay away from home (1-2 nights per week) if required
  • Proven experience in brand management for a Wound Care company
  • Knowledge of UK country specific regulations, including the ABPI, ABHI, SDMA code of practice
  • Experienced in managing branding and medical education agencies
  • Proven track record in achieving sales and marketing goals
  • Previous experience as a sales representative in the Healthcare industry is preferred
  • Previous experience of having worked in matrix organizations is desirable.
