Job Description

Ashfield Healthcare UK is currently recruiting for a HR Advisor within our Human Resources team to be based at our head office in Ashby De La Zouch. It’s a busy and varied role with a focus on supporting our Managers and providing advice and guidance in the management of all Employee Relations issues. The successful candidate will have previous HR experience and will be able to provide commercially focussed and practical advice to our managers.

Key Responsibilities

Provide support and guidance for all performance management, disciplinary and grievance matters, including:

  •  Content of investigations and process
  •  Attend meetings, hearings and appeals
  •  Advise Managers on potential sanctions and content of outcome letters

Provide support and guidance for restructures and Transfer of Undertakings (TUPE) including:

  • Timelines and processes
  • Attend updates meetings, consultation and Consideration of Dismissal Meetings.
  • Ensure processes meets legislative requirements
  • Ensure all documentations are issued accurately and timely

Support Employees and Managers with long term absence, including:

  • Monitoring of long term absence cases within allocated teams
  • Ensure Absence Policy is followed, e.g. trigger points, reporting process
  • Arrange Occupational Health referrals for Employees with health issues or long term sickness absence.
  • Liaise with Managers to ensure recommendations from medical reports are implemented
  • Process applications for Permanent Health Insurance claims, where applicable
  • Support Managers with capability hearings and consideration of dismissal Meetings

General Project HR Support

  • Responsible for allocated teams, provide support and guidance to Managers and Employees on all HR activities and processes
  • Liaison with other HR members and Head Office Departments to action employee requests and queries e.g. payroll queries, leaver arrangements, maternity etc.

Essential Skills

  • CIPD Qualification or working towards would be advantageous
  • Full driving licence
  • Previous HR experience
