Job Description

Ashfield is currently recruiting for an experienced Medical Sales Represenative on behalf of GS Medical Heathcare LTD.

Candidates with previous experience of medical equipment sales, are of particular interest to this expanding organisation who specialise in sterile dressings, swabs, disinfectants, orthopaedics, endoscopy, CSSD and theatre supplies. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling a range of equipment within the areas of theatre, critical care and wound care. Knowledge of operating room equipment, together with exposure to critical care and theatre/surgery is a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • To reach agreed objectives and sales targets for our portfolio of specialist OR-based products for the territory
  • Organise, co-ordinate and execute designated territory conference and congress meetings
  • Clinical presentations and product detailing to clinical targets on the territory
  • Develop, establish and maintain relationships with KOL’s to ensure mutually beneficial objectives are met
  • Planning and agreeing monthly and quarterly meeting and visit schedule through CRM with the Sales Director
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual marketing and sales plan, and implementing same in line with agreed budget and targets
  • Field and desk based market research within the territory

Essential Skills

  • Experienced and proven track record within medical sales in hospital or specialist clinic channels
  • Strong understanding of medical sales by way of sales approach, product detailing, product presenting and understanding the sales cycle
  • High levels of interpersonal skills – ability to work well both on own initiative and also within a team environment
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required
  • Clean, full drivers licence

Strong communication skills, together with excellent interpersonal skills, time management and organisational skills , and a proven track record in medical equipment/medical devices sales are required. Previous nursing or clinical scientific background is particularly suitable, ideally a nurse or technician with sales experience. May also suit a clinical or biomedical engineer with sales experience or excellent commercial acumen.
