Job Description

Ashfield Healthcare are proud to be partnering with Takeda to recruit a Direct to Headcount Regional Account Director on the South West territory. The RAD is required to develop the regional business plan and financial objectives, supporting and reflecting central strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • To construct, present and agree with the Divisional Sales Director the financial objectives, promotional strategy and tactics for the Region as part of business planning process.
  • To be accountable for the delivery of the plan across the assigned portfolio of products, working with other field teams, their line management and Takeda Head Office functions.
  • To monitor and review the Regional business plan, proactively making adjustments in line with changing circumstances to ensure that business goals are achieved.
  • To leverage support for products/ideas/projects across a local health economy and to contribute to the development and mobilisation of local and national brand advocates.
  • To maintain a detailed knowledge of national policy objectives/drivers and apply this to identify opportunities for growing the business at a Regional level.
  • To ensure that all knowledge management and CRM systems are maintained in accordance with Takeda standards and to ensure that business plans and objectives are transparent to Takeda UK.
  • To ensure all Regional administration and expense claims are submitted according to Takeda standards
  • To provide line management to the Customer Account Specialists including leading, monitoring, motivating and inspiring the team as well as effective performance management.

Essential Skills

  • At least five years’ previous pharmaceutical industry sales experience, working as a high level Key Account Manager with Market Access / HDM level experience. Customers should include Medicines Management / Payors
  • Previous management experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent selling, negotiation and networking skills.
  • Analytical thinker; demonstrates evidence of both numerical and verbal critical reasoning.
  • Solutions focused and effective problem solving skills.
  • High standard of oral and written communication, including well developed presentation skills.
