Job Description

Ashfield is currently recruiting for a Therapy Area Specialist on behalf of Boehringer Ingelheim. The successful candidate will work directly for Boehringer Ingelheim and will drive sales, advocacy and market access within a specific therapy area through successful interactions with clinicians, payers and other healthcare professionals across Primary and Secondary care. Key Responsibilities

Sales & Advocacy– Influencing clinicians

  • Develops stakeholder map for Therapy Area. Has deep understanding of the emerging multi-stakeholder environment and develops and maintains a comprehensive knowledge of customer needs, maintains customer engagement plan, networks, and knowledge of products and environment
  • Effectively utilises all available resources to sell and promote BI products and enhance service provided by BI. Works collaboratively with support functions to determine which resources ,best fits the customer and/or circumstances

Market Access – Influencing environment

  • Development and maintenance of relationships with key consultants, clinical payers, and other relevant decision makers to create the optimal environment for brand success
  • Capitalise on opportunities by influencing key stakeholders to consider BI therapy areas as a priority, influencing the allocation of funding, shaping the market and creating an optimum selling environment for the BI account team

Therapy Area Expertise

  • Responsible for implementing agreed actions in local account plan to maximise advocacy and patient access to BI products.
  • Can analyse and interpret clinical and sales data for therapy area. Keeps up to speed with local intelligence and shares knowledge with local account team members highlighting business opportunities across secondary and primary care.
  • Support KAM in providing Therapy Area expertise at customer meetings where required
